On Friday (16.08.2019) the AFIP implemented three important tax measures that will benefit employees, self-employed workers, retirees and SMEs.
These resolutions, published today in the Official Gazette, are part of the Government's strategy to improve the income of all taxpayers.
First of all, the General Resolution 4546 updated the non-taxable minimum and the special deduction of the Income Tax by 20 percent, after the last update of 28,3%.
AFIP will begin to apply the reduction in withholdings immediately, although before the end of the fiscal year (next March), the measure will need approval from Congress.
This resolution determines that the differences that may arise in favor of taxpayers due to the increase in the non-taxable minimum and the special deduction will be reimbursed in two equal installments, in September and October of this year.
It is worth noting that this modification will benefit 1,9 million active workers and 400 thousand retirees.
Second, the General Resolution 4547 ordered a 50% reduction in the advance payments on income tax that must be paid by individuals (including self-employed workers) for the remainder of this year (October and December).
Por último, la General Resolution 4548 It enabled the expansion of permanent payment facility plans that allow for the regularization of tax, social security and customs obligations. In the case of SMEs, the plans will increase from 6 to 10 plans; the rest of the taxpayers will be able to access up to three plans.
One of the keys to this resolution is the suspension of the Risk Profile System (SIPER) until December 31 of this year. This will allow taxpayers to access the maximum number of plans and the lowest interest rate available regardless of their tax risk profile.
In the coming days, other resolutions of the organization will be announced, such as the one that contemplates the extension from 60 to 120 installments of the plan of facilities to pay off overdue debt and the one that provides for the exemption of the payment of the tax component of the Monotributo for next month, among others.
