The National Service for Food Safety and Quality (Senasa) inspected (this Wednesday (3.4.2019) in the port of Campana the shipment of more than 5 million kilos of fresh fruit - including citrus, pears and apples - destined for Russia.
At the start of the 2019 campaign for the export of fresh citrus fruits from Buenos Aires ports, professionals with an international signature from the jurisdiction of the Senasa Pampean Regional Center inspected the cargo in the hold of the first ship that left for the Russian Federation, which also included a batch with pears and apples.
This involves 5.048 pallets equivalent to 5.552,8 tons of fresh fruit – citrus, pears and apples – sent to the Russian Federation.
Of the total number of exported species, 51,5% were lemons, 16,84% mandarins, 0,88% grapefruit and the remaining 30% apples and pears.
