China approved Communiqué No. 4/2018, which provides for adjustments to the current tariff structure, effective July 1, 2018, covering 1449 consumer products for which the Asian country has no production or is a net importer, 387 of which are agro-industrial products.

According to the statement, the regulations establish temporary tariffs lower than those applied to Most Favored Nation (MFN) countries, aimed at reducing prices and stimulating end consumer spending on the specified number of products, according to the Ministry of Finance of the People's Republic of China.
Agro-industrial sectors
For the agro-industrial sector, 43 products are of particular interest for export to this market, in the following areas:
peach was reduced from 10% to 5% the tariff on hake, both whole, frozen and fillets; frozen ray and tilapia; salted anchovies and frozen crabs.
Dairy products: The tariff on ice cream was reduced from 19% to 12%.
Pre-mixes and baked goods: on pre-mixes for the production of baked goods, with a significant reduction of 25% 10%, as well as on dry pasta, stuffed pasta (for example, ravioli, except with meat filling), among others, from 15% to 10%.
Food and drinks: a significant reduction in tariffs on several food products, many of which range from 35% to 15% 10% -5%. These include breakfast cereals, bulgur wheat, sweet biscuits, canned tomatoes, canned peas, canned beans, olives, prepared peanuts, canned fruits, fruit juices, bottled water, beer and vinegar.
