Etchevehere, who recently participated in the second China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in the city of Shanghai, indicated that from January to September of this year, Argentina became the main supplier of beef to China.

Last week, Etchevehere reported that domestic plants such as Catter Meat, Edgard A. Ciribe, Campo y Faena, Santa Faz and Frigorífico Hv had been authorized to export meat to the Asian country.
During his participation in the second CIIE, which was attended by some 55 Argentine companies, the minister highlighted that "in the first nine months of the year, Argentina doubled agricultural exports to this country, compared to the same period in 2018."
