The National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa) carried out, in the Chaco town of Barranqueras, the sanitary and documentary inspection of 171 tons of bulk corn grains that will be exported to Uruguay.
According to the agency's statement, the operation was carried out on Wednesday (23.5.2018) in the Port of Barranqueras, where compliance with the phytosanitary requirements requested by the importing country was controlled and acted in accordance with the provisions of the Guide to Work Procedures for the inspection and certification of plant products for export, import and international transit (IASCAV Resolution No. 409/96).
In addition, the temperature and humidity were determined at the time of taking the sample and finally, the corresponding seals that guarantee the inviolability of the load until reaching destination.
The official document clarifies that the merchandise, which will be used to fatten calves, will be transported land route in 6 teams (chassis-couplers) and will arrive to the Uruguayan town of Canelones through the Concordia-Salto international pass.
Senasa also announced that a shipment of another 1.000 tons is planned for the same importer in the coming days.
