The meeting between Francisco A. Lima Mena, Secretary General of the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) and Tayra Barsallo, General Director of the National Customs Authority (ANA) of Panama took place this Thursday (17.02.2022/XNUMX/XNUMX). The meeting had the purpose of following up on the Work Plan of the Central American Customs Committee for the first half of 2022 within the framework of the Pro Tempore Presidency of Panama, according to SIECA.
According to the statement, the Authorities discussed the following topics: aimed at facilitating trade that is being implemented in Central America:
• Update of CAUCA and RECAUCA
• Implementation of the Regional Action Plan as part of the Dispatch Time Study (ETD)
• Implementation of the Central American Digital Trade Platform (PDCC)
• Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Programs
It should be noted that the Central American Customs Committee is an example for the world and for other forums for its work for more than 15 years. This committee is part of the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration, which is made up of general directors of Customs from the six member countries such as Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Honduras and Nicaragua.
