The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, Felipe Solá, signed this Monday (18.05.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) an agreement with the president of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani, and the head of the Argentine Wine Corporation (Coviar), José Zuccardi, so that Sanitary flights to China transport Argentine wines to that destination.
The objective of the initiative is boosting exports from the wine industry by taking advantage of the flights that Aerolíneas operates to China to bring in medical supplies in the context of the coronavirus pandemic emergency.
"The agreement strengthens a strategic link between the flag carrier, the national beverage and the Foreign Ministry offices abroad to position the country and its products in world markets.", they indicated from the Foreign Ministry.
The proposal will include access to preferential rates for the shipment of wine products to China..
In addition, the dissemination of content generated by Coviar in audiovisual media, flights and physical spaces of Aerolíneas Argentinas is planned.
The agreement also provides for the future development of special promotions and rates on flights related to wine tourism destinations and on rates for shipping wine products to destinations served by the state-owned company.
Aerolíneas President Pablo Ceriani highlighted that "This agreement with the wine industry is a very good example of what can be done both with regional economies and with the interaction between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our entity.«.
