Canada is the latest country to ratify a renewal of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) that includes stricter rules on labor and automotive content.
The agreement cannot enter into force until it has been enacted by all three countries.
Last week, the US Senate passed legislation to implement USMCA, and Mexico did so last December.
Among its provisions is that 70% of the steel and aluminum used to manufacture cars in North America must originate in one of the signatory countries.
