Canada accelerates ratification of USMCA

La Lower House of Parliament Canada unanimously approved the Mexico-United States Treaty and that country, this as a last act before suspending sessions due to coronavirus, COVID-19, this was reported by Ambassador Juan José Gómez Camacho. 

The Mexican diplomat stated on his social networks that: "A few minutes ago, the The lower house of the Canadian Parliament, as the last act before suspending sessions due to #COVIDー19, unanimously approved the #USMCA. It will now be sent to the Senate of @JesusSeade.

Meanwhile, the Undersecretary for North America, Jesús Seade, explained that after the third reading of the T-MEC, the House of Commons of that country unanimously endorsed the agreement. 

The USMCA was signed by then-Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, US President Donald Trump, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on November 30, 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In 2019 it was ratified by the Mexican legislature and at the beginning of 2020 by the United States.
