The initiative belongs to the company Comercial San Patricio SRL, commercially known as PLM (Parque Logístico Mercedes) and DFM (Mercedes Bonded Warehouse) who made a strong technological investment to achieve the authorization both in Customs and in SENASA for the purposes of carrying out imports and exports in its facilities that will allow a strong boost to this area of ​​Buenos Aires. To the point that the deposit is enabled for the citrus export.

Criteria for authorization and technology for control

In order to obtain the authorization of AFIP-General Directorate of Customs, it was necessary to comply with RG 3871/16 AFIP. This regulation requires new requirements for the qualification such as enclosing 5.600 m2 of the park, installing a high-definition closed circuit television or CCTV system with 24-hour Customs monitoring and image storage for 5 years, as well as installing a 60-ton fiscal truck scale and a fiscal scale for pallets and packages.

Two kennels were built to house the detection dogs and offices for the AFIP and Customs personnel, both equipped with the latest communications and monitoring technology. In addition, the PLM has a 2 KW generator to operate uninterruptedly.

This Logistics Park, with approximately 30 thousand m2 on National Route 5, was created to handle the storage and distribution of national merchandise, but currently has the capacity to carry out export and import operations of cereals and general cargo.

Certifications 

The facilities comply with the Citrus Fresh Fruit Certification Program for Export of SENASA which makes it an exit point for the European Union, Russia and the Philippines.

Now, the property is in a certification process ISO 9000 Quality with the aim of establishing processes and systems aimed at continuous improvement of quality in the services provided.

The new Mercedes tax warehouse offers good prospects for contributing to the development activity of the city and province of Buenos Aires.
