A new bus service, which It will connect the cities of Buenos Aires with Montevideo and will continue its journey to Punta del Este, and will begin operating on December 20., on an eight-hour journey that will cover the Retiro terminal with the Tres Cruces terminal.

At the presentation of the new service, which took place on Wednesday (16.12.2019) in the Uruguayan capital, it was highlighted that it will have stops in Cardona, José E. Rodo, Santa Catalina, Mercedes and Fray Bentos, in Uruguayan lands, and in Gualeguaychú, Escobar, Campana and Buenos Aires, in Argentina.

It was also highlighted that the trip, with a hostess and dinner and breakfast service, includes the continuation to Piriápolis and Punta del Este departing from Buenos Aires.

The company EGA, the contractor for the service, will begin operating on December 20, with departures from both cities, Buenos Aires and Montevideo, at 22 p.m. and arrival at the respective destination at 6 a.m.

According to the national director of Transport of Uruguay, Felipe Martín, he said, in the current period of government (2015-2020) there has been “had the obsession of taking care of the connectivityAs an example, Martín pointed out that through international passenger transport, Rivera has been linked to Buenos Aires and Salto to the Brazilian city of Porto Alegre, as well as to the Argentine capital.
