Ports: Radical reduction in immigration control fees for cargo ships

-

The National Government has ordered a radical reduction in the immigration control fee for cargo transport entering or leaving Argentina with origin or final destination in any foreign port in the region.

Through Layout 850 published this Wednesday (20.2.2019), The National Directorate of Migration sets a 90% reduction when such immigration control services are provided in the Port of Buenos Aires, and 99,2% when they are carried out in any other seaport.

The measure responds to the interest in contributing to the integration and facilitation of trade between countries in the region, the regulations state.

The Provision shall enter into force as of March 1 2019.
