Argentine gas exports to Uruguay authorized

-

The Government granted the company Pampa Energía Sociedad Anónima (PAMPA) an authorization to export gas to Uruguay, and authorized Pan American Energy LLC (PAE) to sell the same product to the same destination, in both cases on an “interruptible” basis.

Both authorizations are part of the resolutions 12 y 13 of the Secretariat of Government Energy, an agency dependent on the Ministry of Finance, published this Thursday (24.1.2019) in the Official Gazette.

PAMPAS

According to the provisions, PAMPA will be able to sell gas from the Neuquén Basin (Neuquén River and Rincón del Mangrullo) to Uruguay for the National Administration of Power Plants and Electric Transmissions (UTE).

The operation will be for a maximum volume of 600.000 cubic meters per day and until 06:00 hours on May 1, 2019, or until completing the total maximum amount equivalent to the authorized daily export volume for the number of days of validity of this authorization since its granting, whichever occurs first.

PAE

For its part, Pan American Energy LLC (PAE), Argentina Branch, obtained a gas authorization from the Anticlinal Grande – Cerro Dragón, Chulengo and Cerro Tortuga – Las Flores (Chubut) exploitation concessions, also destined for UTE.

In this case, the maximum volume to be exported is 600.600.000 cubic meters of natural gas for a period of one year. The maximum volume to be sent will be 100 thousand cubic meters per day, until 06:00 on December 1, 2019.
