The national government authorized the oil company YPF to export natural gas from the Magallanes area of the southern basin, through the Resolution 68 / 2019 Published this Wednesday (6.3.2019) in the Official Gazette
The regulations establish the shipment of gas from the Magallanes area of the southern basin, destined for Methanex Chile, for a maximum volume of 356 million cubic meters of natural gas of 9.300 kilocalories until January 1, 2020.
Furthermore, it is specified that the supplies provided for in this authorisation may be interrupted in order to guarantee the security of supply to the internal market.
The export authorization will automatically expire if the first commercial export of natural gas has not been carried out within the 45-day period.
YPF must report monthly to the enforcement authority, by way of a sworn declaration, the volumes exported monthly.
