Argentina and Chile strengthen the gender agenda in trade

As part of the program for the visit to Chile of a delegation of Argentine businesswomen and legislators, the Secretary of Foreign Trade, Marisa Bircher, was received in a formal audience by the Undersecretary of Foreign Relations of the Argentine country, Carolina Valdivia, according to the statement from the Chilean Foreign Ministry.
 
At the meeting, both authorities celebrated the realization of various activities of common interest, among which the conversation stands out. “Exchange of Experiences of Women Exporters”, held on Monday (07.10.2019) at the San Francisco Hotel.
 
At the event, Chilean and Argentine businesswomen, as well as representatives of public agencies from both countries, exchanged experiences on issues related to women's participation in trade. Undersecretary Valdivia and Secretary Bircher agreed to continue advancing in the effective implementation of the gender and trade chapter of the Economic Complementation Agreement ACE35, signed between Argentina and Chile in 1995, which achieved free trade in 2014.
