Argentina suspends entry through the Tancredo Neves International Bridge

-

The Government temporarily suspended entry into the national territory through the Iguazú – Foz de Iguazú border crossing (Tancredo Neves) until March 31 inclusive, through the Provision 1800/2020.

The measure, published this Monday (30.03.2020) in the Official Bulletin, indicates: "Temporarily suspend the entry into the territory of the Argentine Republic of the subcategory "international transport crew" established by article 24 of Law No. 25.871 through the Iguazú – Foz de Iguazú border crossing (Tancredo Neves) until March 31 of this year inclusive, using for this purpose any other authorized international crossing that allows the operation of cargo. This period may be extended or shortened.

It is remembered that the Tancredo Neves International Bridge, better known as International Bridge of Brotherhood, is a bridge located over the Iguazú River, at the beginning of the Brazilian route BR 469, connecting the cities of Foz do Iguaçu (in Brazil) with Puerto Iguazú (in Argentina).

The regulation, signed by the head of the National Directorate of Migration, Maria Florencia Carignano, comes into force immediately.
