Argentina prepares to join the club of LNG exporters

-

Argentina is set to export its first shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from a new floating plant, marking a milestone for its energy industry, which has grown thanks to the expansion of its gas production in the formation of unconventional hydrocarbons. Dead cow.

Argentine state-owned company YPF would offer a partial shipment of LNG from the FLNG Tango, the liquidation vessel stationed in the city of Bahía Blanca, two operators said on Monday (20.5.2019).

One of the sources added that the cargo would be carried out on a FOB basis and would be shipped without delay.

The floating plant arrived in Bahía Blanca - located in the south of the province of Buenos Aires - in February and is owned by the Belgian company Exmar.

If the sale is finalized, Argentina will become the twenty-first country to export LNG.
