Senasa confirmed this Friday (14.02.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) that a Saudi company is interested in importing doses from the national industry.
La Saudi Arabian Veterinary Company “MAS” sent a consultant to learn about the production of foot-and-mouth disease vaccine, with the aim of importing the doses. Senasa authorities received Alblowi, Mohammed Hamad M and toured the organization's laboratories.
Mohammed Hamad M is a consultant for the veterinary company “MAS” and a former KFDA official, the health agency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he continues as an advisor. The representative visited the headquarters of the Senasa National Laboratory, where he was received by the coordinators of Virology and Bacteriology, Andrea Pedemonte and Bernardo Alonso, respectively.
The Asian country carried out surveys in the country, since analyzing the possibility of having an Argentine-produced vaccine. Senasa explained to the visitor how the laboratory works.
At the end of the visit, Alonso commented: “It is genuine work for Argentines and the Service is open to this type of initiatives”. In addition, the consultant asked about the possibilities of the National Laboratory of Senasa trains Saudi technicians on issues related to control and evaluation of these products.
"This national laboratory is unique in the region and is recognized as a reference for foot-and-mouth disease by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE).", they said from Senasa.
