The national government implemented new procedures related to foreign trade of live animals and reproductive material on the Remote Procedures (TAD) platform. In this way, the National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa) added a total of five more services to the concept of “single remote procedures desk”.
The system allows users to submit requests to Senasa for authorization related to the international movement of both live animals and reproductive material, for different species and destinations of use, facilitating the presentation of the required documentation in a non-personal manner.
From now on, they can be processed through the TAD platform applications for the import and export of live animals, reproductive material and the application for authorization for the international transit of live animals.
“These procedures are the first step to carry out the international movement of live animals. Interested companies or individuals have the possibility of managing these procedures through TAD from a computer with internet and from anywhere in the country. They must select the procedure and attach the documentation,” said Hernán López of the Directorate of Quarantine Standards of Senasa.
