Argentina begins exporting sheep meat to China

-

Argentina began exporting frozen bone-in sheep meat to China, with a shipment of 21,26 tons from Official Establishment 4449, Frigorífico Montecarlo, in the province of Santa Cruz, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation reported in a statement.

The head of the national agricultural portfolio, Luis Basterra, stated that "The quality and safety of Argentine food allow us to continue expanding exports"", highlighting the work carried out by the National Service for Food Health and Quality (Senasa), which certified, through its Regional Center for Southern Patagonia, the control of the sanitary requirements of the entire sheep meat production chain required by China; from the supply of raw materials, the slaughter process, storage, loading onto trucks and the certification of the export of the merchandise.

La Merchandise left the city of Río Gallegos by land to the Port of Buenos Aires, from where it will be loaded onto a ship that will transport it to China.
