Food and beverage exports from Argentina have increased by 16,1% in volume and 1% in value so far this year, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries reported on Wednesday (13.11.2019).
In an official statement, the entity indicated that between January and September, 35 million tons of food and beverages were exported, for a total value of 19.404 billion dollars.
The products that reported the greatest increase in their sales abroad were: beef, soybean oil, peanuts, poultry meat and sunflower oil, the ministry noted.
He added that only in In September, 3,9 million tons were exported worth 2.276 billion dollars, marking increases of 10,6% and 3,2% in foreign currency respectively, compared to the same month in 2018.
The main sales destinations of these items were Brazil, China, Chile, United States, Spain, Netherlands, Russia and Algeria among others. In addition, in September alone, food and beverages were exported to more than 80 destinations.
