Argentina: There will be a judicial recess until March 31

-

The Supreme Court of the Nation ordered the cessation of activities throughout the country until March 31, through the agreed 4/2020 published this Monday (16.03.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) on the website of the judicial body.

The Supreme Court's decision states "declare the days 16 to 31 of March of this year ineligible for judicial proceedings before all the courts that make up the Judicial Branch of the Nation, without prejudice to the validity of the procedural acts carried out, that the minimum benefits will be maintained through the implementation of guards. The rest of the staff will be released from providing services.

Likewise, the agreement explicitly states “ua minimum provision of the service during the established period, which should be covered primarily by judges and/or officials who are not in the risk groups."

In this sense, the text indicates that Customer service will be suspended "except for procedural actions in which the presence of lawyers and/or the parties is essential." For matters "that do not admit delay" the parties may request "allowance of non-working days and hours."
