The Government ordered the closure of borders for a period of fifteen days, according to decree 274/2020.
The measure, published in the Official Gazette, states that "establishes the prohibition of entry into the national territory, for a period of fifteen (15) calendar days, of foreign persons not residing in the country, through ports, airports, international crossings, border centers and any other access point.«.
The text clarifies that it is exempts from the ban persons affected by international trade operations involving the transportation of cargo, as well as flights and transfers for health purposes.
The provisions of the decree will apply as long as the exempted persons are asymptomatic and comply, both inside and outside the country, with the recommendations and instructions issued by the national health authority.
