Argentina: immigration processing fees updated

The Government updates the payment of fees for services carried out by the National Directorate of Migration, according to the Decree 475 / 2018, published this Monday (21.5.2018) in the National Gazette.

The rule states in the recitals that such The increase is for the purposes of meeting the objectives of the new immigration policy of Argentina, which aims to incorporate modernization mechanisms in relation to immigration control.

In this regard, the incipient streamlining and creation of Integrated Control Areas at the various border crossings linked to neighboring countries, as well as the opening of new air routes for tour operators, the opening of new airlines, and the high demand arising from the control of the entry and exit of people from the various airports opened throughout the national territory, make it necessary to increase the use of new technology and a significant increase in human resources.
