The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) suspended until June 30 the initiation of tax enforcement proceedings by the agency, within the framework of the emergency declared due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In General Resolution 4730/2020 Published this Thursday (04.06.2020/XNUMX/XNUMX) in the Official Gazette, it specified that this suspension "does not prevent the exercise of procedural and procedural acts intended to prevent the prescription of the actions and powers of the treasury to determine and demand payment of taxes, fines and accessories whose application, collection and inspection are the responsibility of AFIP."

The regulations stated that "The lifting of the extraordinary judicial recess was authorized, with respect to certain federal courts based in provinces and cities which are advancing in the successive phases of isolation", and considered that "it becomes necessary to take measures in relation to the judicial management of the collection of tax obligations."

In this context, he argued that "it is considered reasonable to consider the exceptional situation described and proceed to suspend the initiation of tax enforcement proceedings."
