The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) will modify the procedure that allows companies to religious entities be exempt from paying the income tax, it was reported in a statement.

As highlighted by the AFIP, entities "will no longer have to present their Libra nor its sworn declaration", while emphasizing that "the Secretariat of Worship of the Chancellery will issue a certificate that will give them access to this tax benefit."

In order to access this exemption, contemplated by law 24.483 and the decree 1092 / 97, Religious entities "will only be required to have the certificate issued by the Ministry, which they must then present to the AFIP."

«Following a general resolution that will be announced in the coming days, they will no longer have to submit balance sheets or sworn statements. Esta simplification "It is the result of the dialogue developed in recent months between the Ministry of Religion, religious authorities and the AFIP," says the AFIP text.
