AFIP will not request registration of biometric data

-

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) decided exempt taxpayers and responsible parties, until June 30, 2020 inclusive, from the obligation to register biometric data in accordance with the provisions of Article 3 of General Resolution No. 2.811, its amendment and its supplement.

This is established by the General Resolution 4699/2020, published this Friday (17.04.2020) in the Official Gazette, the purpose of which is to facilitate the execution of digital operations that require this information within the framework of the health emergency.

The exception provided for in the regulations temporarily relieves taxpayers from the obligation to go to AFIP offices to register their photo, signature and fingerprint.

The body provided a exceptional additional period of 90 calendar days, which are added to the existing 180, for those taxpayers who must report the reorganization of companies, business funds, businesses or operations.

In compliance with the measures in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the regulations extend the deadline that companies have to comply with the reporting of operations such as mergers, divisions, or sales and transfers.
