The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) has made the conditions and procedure for the cancellation of tax obligations claimed in tax enforcement proceedings involving seized amounts more flexible.
This is established by the General Resolution 4262/2018 published in the Official Gazette on Friday (15.6.2018). This relaxation of embargoes was added to the Tax Reform approved at the end of 2017, and incorporates the figure of payment in kind, a mechanism that allows the use of embargoed funds to cancel the embargo.
The procedure is digital. The taxpayer must enter the page website from the AFIP to process the lifting of the embargo and then you can pay the debt electronically.
Once payment is made through the bank, the precautionary measures will be lifted automatically, provided that the total amount seized has been paid.
