The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) increases the compensatory and punitive interest rates as of July 1 as a result of the application of the provisions of the Ministry of Finance in the 50 / 2019 resolution.
The rates for the July-September quarter come with a significant increase of 1% on average, taking into account that they are currently at 3,76% for compensatory rates. and 4,61% monthly for punitive damages.
The Ministry of Finance regulations established that the monthly compensatory interest rate in effect in each calendar quarter will be the effective monthly rate equivalent to 1,2 times.
The nominal annual electronic channel rate for 180-day fixed-term deposits in pesos from Banco de la Nación Argentina in effect on the 20th of the month immediately preceding the start of the aforementioned quarter.
The monthly penalty interest rate will be the effective monthly rate equivalent to 1,5 times the nominal annual electronic channel rate for 180-day fixed-term deposits in pesos from Banco de la Nación Argentina in effect on the 20th of the month immediately preceding the beginning of the aforementioned quarter.
