The National Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) established the procedure for shipments of merchandise from abroad, which enter the country through Official Mail, including door-to-door service, through General Resolution 4447/2019.
In regulations, published in the Official Gazette this Friday (29.3.2019), it is indicated that the The procedure will be for those shipments from abroad included in this door-to-door regime that have a value of up to three thousand dollars (US$ 3.000)., provided that they are for personal use or consumption and that their type and quantity do not suggest a commercial purpose.
Such international shipments will be subject to customs control, the regulations clarify.
It also indicates that books will be delivered under the door-to-door service without the requirement to complete the “Simplified Declaration of International Postal Shipments,” it says.

The resolution comes into force on Monday, April 1, 2019.
