AFIP speeds up the process to request a reduction in profit advances

-

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP) has enabled a new feature in the Tax Accounts System to request the reduction of advances on Income Tax, which will allow for an online evaluation of the applications submitted.

The measure, which will be published this Friday (28.04.2017) in the Official Gazette, allows for a reduction in processing times and costs derived from the operation.

AFIP will now automate the evaluation process for each taxpayer, taking into account the category in the Risk Profile System (SIPER), the amount of the reduction and previous requests for reduction of advance payments.

All notifications will be sent to the electronic tax address through the “e-window”.

In cases where the AFIP has to request additional documentation, it will resolve the requests within sixty calendar days.

To request a reduction in advance payments, you must log in to the "tax account system" with your Tax Code, then select the "transactions" option and finally the "reduction in advance payments" item.

As a requirement to make the requests, taxpayers must have:

CUIT active without limitations
Have an electronic tax address
Not having submitted an application for reduction of advances for the same period, within the period of 180 calendar days.
Failure to register failure to submit sworn statements.

Previously, when a taxpayer requested a reduction in advance payments, the agency automatically issued an electronic audit for all requests.

Finally, the AFIP requested the tax authorities to pay the unpaid tax due to the requested reduction.
