AFIP updated the criteria for importing cereal-based products

-

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), through the General Resolution No. 4281/2018, updated the import criteria values for cereal-based products from different countries in America.

Positions: 1904.10.00 and 1904.20.00

The new criteria values cover two tariff items in the Common Nomenclature of Mercosur (NCM). The measure was established after carrying out a risk assessment, a study on the value of the merchandise and meetings with representatives of the sector.

By establishing criteria values for tariff items that did not have them, the AFIP puts into play an important tool to confront tax evasion and combat under-invoicing practices in import operations.

New values

The new values that were set are located between the 1,91 and 4,69 US$ per kilogram, which must be paid by those wishing to import such products from any of the countries covered by the standard

The countries of origin of the goods that now have these new criterion values are: Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay; Canada, the United States and Mexico.
