Within the framework of the modernization of the Honduran customs system, the Honduran Customs Administration makes available to the user the Online Consultation and Monitoring Module for files, procedures and requests in its first phase that seeks automation, simplification and traceability of the customs process.
The innovative tool will allow the Taxpayer to know the status of his procedure remotely without having to go to the Honduras Customs facilities in both Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula, since it is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in real time through the official website. www.aduanas.gob.hn
The Deputy Executive Director of the Honduran Customs Administration, Doris Madrid, stated: “The aim is to provide an innovative, efficient and user-friendly service, facilitating the traceability of your procedure and simplifying the customs process by simply entering the official Honduras Customs website and following the indicated steps.”
Amongst the benefits The user will save time and costs by avoiding going to customs administrative offices, evaluation of compliance with legal deadlines, confidence and certainty in the actions carried out by Honduras Customs, and currently safeguarding health by avoiding the spread and contagion of COVID-19 by carrying out inquiries and follow-up digitally, explained lawyer Madrid.
Steps to consult the status of a file in the Honduran Customs Administration:
- Go to the official Honduras Customs website www.aduanas.gob.hn
- In the “Online Service” menu, click on “Check File Status.”
- Enter the file number and then click on “Consult”
- The status of the entered file will then be displayed.
This way you can observe and know its status and location.
Attorney Doris Madrid added, “In the first phase that is being implemented, an easy-to-use query is launched; the user will only need to have the file number at hand and will know where it is and what its progress is. For the second stage, the automated file system will be made available where the obligated party will be able to remotely submit the file or procedure until the final notification can be made online.".
