The Customs of Argentina and the People's Republic of China signed an action plan that will promote the simplification of procedures for companies linked to foreign trade. This was established in a meeting held this Friday (20.09.2019), between the General Director of Customs, Diego Dávila, and representatives of the Chinese Customs, the AFIP reported.
The agency clarified that "The signed strategy will allow Argentine companies, included in the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), to obtain the benefits of this program in the Asian country from 2020".
Diego Dávila participated in the meeting in Buenos Aires and next year the two countries will sign the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA).
This will allow national companies adhering to the OEA program to be recognized as safe in both countries.
The OEA program was created by the World Customs Organization (WCO) to secure and facilitate global trade; it is open to those involved who guarantee the integrity of the value chain and provide security measures for the goods.
Those who are accepted as Authorized Operators will have access to certain benefits, such as access to the Green Channel, exclusive customer service channel, priority in dispatches and self-management, among others.
So far, there are 17 companies certified as AEO in Argentina and the goal is to reach 95 by the end of this year.
