Dubai Customs has officially launched its Aman (security) platform to enhance the security of its transactions.
The new platform will help Raise awareness about cybersecurity through effective simulation of cyber breaches and identify gaps in the work environment.
AMAN is a requirement of the Information Security Regulation (ISR) and a performance indicator for the Dubai e-Security Centre (DESC).
Speaking via video conference at the launch of the new portal, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director General of Dubai Customs, said: “We keep up to date with the latest technologies at Dubai Customs in line with Dubai Cyber Security Strategy to curb and prevent any dangers related to cyber attacks and breaches. «.
The cybersecurity market in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) experienced a 10% growth in 2019, due to an increase in cyber threats.
Cyberattacks have mutated and evolved from individual attempts to organized and highly trained cyberattacks.
The new platform will serve as an innovative platform for e-education which not only provides information, but can also simulate these breaches and identify points of weakness and customize the necessary training for each department and employee.
Adel Al Housani, Manager of Information Security Section, said: "The new platform will play a role in protecting the organization's information and systems from any cyberattacks, and this will reduce the budget allocated for this purpose."
Employees can access and interact with the platform anytime and anywhere using regular PC, smart tablet or mobile phones.
